At The Cooking Therapist LLC, food is more than a meal — it’s therapy, comfort, and love shared around the table.
Founder Keisha Henry created this business with a vision: to provide not only delicious food but also a sense of belonging and joy. For Keisha, every customer is family, and every dish is prepared with care, compassion, and heart.
With over 25 years of experience as a Recreational Therapist and Mental Health Counselor, Keisha knows the healing power of connection. She believes that food and good service can be therapeutic, bringing people happiness in ways that go far beyond the plate.
Keisha’s passion for cooking began on Dauphine Street in her grandparents’ home in the Holy Cross Historic District of New Orleans. Surrounded by family, neighbors, and the rich culture of the community, she learned that food isn’t just nourishment — it’s a way to bring people together. To this day, she lives in the same neighborhood, honoring those roots while sharing her gift with others.
At the heart of it all is Keisha’s favorite saying:
“I never met a stranger.”
